Warranty Overview

This Limited Warranty is provided to the original purchaser and covers defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state.

Warranty Coverage by Product

ROBAM provides warranty coverage based on product category. Refer to the table below for your specific product's warranty period.

* The two (2) year labor warranty for range hoods applies only to units purchased after September 2024. For units purchased prior to this date, a one (1) year labor warranty is provided.

* Range Hood motors are covered by a lifetime warranty.

What This Warranty Covers

Our products are warranted to the original purchaser to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the warranty period, as outlined above, from the date of your purchase.

Repair or Replacement

If a covered defect is found, ROBAM will, at our sole discretion, repair or replace the defective product or part at no cost for parts during the warranty period. If the original product or part is no longer available, a replacement of equal or greater value will be provided.

Parts & Shipping

ROBAM covers shipping and handling fees to send repaired or replacement products and parts to you. You are responsible for all costs related to removal, reinstallation, return shipping, insurance, and labor charges outside the labor warranty period. ROBAM is not responsible for any damage incurred in transit.

Refurbished Components

ROBAM reserves the right to use refurbished, repaired, or remanufactured products or parts in any warranty repair or replacement process. Such products and parts will be comparable in function and performance to original components and are warranted for the remainder of the initial warranty period.

Refund Option

In certain cases, ROBAM may elect to refund the original purchase price in lieu of repair or replacement. The warranty period is not extended following any repair, replacement, or refund. ROBAM may change these terms at our sole discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.

Important: All warranty service must be authorized by ROBAM and performed with genuine ROBAM parts. Unauthorized repairs or the use of non-genuine parts will void the warranty.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

Any failure of the product that is not traceable to a defect in material or workmanship is not covered by this Limited Warranty. Non-covered items include, but are not limited to:

  • Improper installation not in accordance with the product instructions
  • Dents, bumps, and scratches incurred during shipping, handling, or installation
  • Damage caused by failure to follow care and cleaning guidelines, including damage caused by abrasive cleaners
  • Alterations or modifications made to the product by the purchaser or installer
  • Damage caused by accidental impact, fire, flood, freezing, electrical surges, or normal wear
  • Any defects or damage to light bulbs, and change in color or finish due to chemical usage
  • Bending and warping caused by forced connections, over-tightened fittings, or inadequate support during installation
  • Use of non-genuine ROBAM parts or accessories
  • Commercial, institutional, or non-residential use of the product
  • Excessive or abusive use beyond normal household conditions

Notice: A thorough inspection must be performed before installation. Any damage discovered must be reported promptly. ROBAM will not be liable for any failure or damage that could have been discovered or avoided by proper inspection or testing prior to installation.

Additional Limitations

  • This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable
  • The warranty is voided if the product is removed from its initial installation location
  • Products must be installed following ROBAM's official installation instructions
  • This warranty does not extend to any subsequent owner or transferee of the product
  • Incidental repairs requiring a minimum amount of time and effort are not considered warranty work

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ROBAM will not be liable for any inconvenience caused by loss of use of the product or any other incidental or consequential damages, and will not be liable for personal injury or property damage resulting from improper installation or use of the product.

How to File a Warranty Claim

Filing a warranty claim with ROBAM is simple. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Gather Your Information

Before contacting us, please have the following ready:

  • Product model name and serial number
  • Proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or order confirmation email)
  • Detailed description of the defect or issue
  • Photos or video showing the problem
  • Name(s) and address(es) of the owner and installer

Step 2: Contact ROBAM Customer Service

Step 3: Confirm Your Claim in Writing

All warranty claims must be confirmed in writing by email to info@robamusa.com during the warranty period and within six (6) months of the appearance of the claimed defect(s). Failure to comply with these provisions will make this Limited Warranty null and void.

Step 4: Product Inspection

ROBAM reserves the right to a thirty (30) day period following receipt of a claim in which to inspect the product and determine the appropriate warranty resolution.

Step 5: Resolution

Once approved, ROBAM will arrange for repair, replacement, or refund as applicable. Replacement parts and products will be shipped to you at no cost.

Disclaimers, Limitations & Dispute Resolution

THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND ROBAM'S ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. ROBAM'S LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, NOR SHALL ROBAM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT.

ROBAM LIMITS THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Arbitration

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any claims arising out of or relating to this Limited Warranty must be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration in Los Angeles, California, rather than in court, as outlined in our Terms of Service at www.robamliving.com. The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its rules, available at www.adr.org.

YOU AND ROBAM MAY ONLY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

Severability

If any provision of this Limited Warranty is held to be prohibited or invalid, such provision shall be ineffective only to the extent of such prohibition or invalidity, without invalidating the remainder of such provision or the other remaining provisions of this Limited Warranty.
